Every server here is tagged build ^k or creative ^c, or has build, creative or sandbox in its name, and none of them are offline. Player counts refresh every five minutes. Wipe times are shown in UK time and UTC, with the source of each schedule named, so you can see what reset recently and what is due soon before you plan a base.
Wipe behaviour on these servers is not like a main server. Many reset every few hours, so a build you started this morning may be gone by the afternoon. Read the Last wipe column, and where a schedule is not published, treat it as unknown rather than guess a countdown.
Population on build servers tends to sit low and steady, so a server with three players is not dead, it is a quiet table for testing a footprint. If you want feedback on a design, the busiest servers at the top are where people are. If you want silence, the near-empty ones work just as well.
The name match here is loose on purpose. Typing a word finds servers that put it in their name, not every server that happens to run that setup. For filters by region, group size or wipe day, use the server browser.

Questions
Q01What is a Rust build server?
A server set up for designing and testing bases rather than surviving. Resources are usually free, building is instant and many give you noclip or god mode. Players use them to plan a footprint or check a bunker before a wipe.
Q02Do Rust build servers wipe?
Often, yes, and more frequently than main servers. Some reset every few hours, others keep a map until the owner or the force wipe clears it. The Last wipe and Next wipe columns show what is published; a blank means the schedule is not known.
Q03Are build servers modded?
Almost always. Free resources, instant building and noclip change the game, so Facepunch requires those servers to sit in the Modded tab. A build server there is correctly categorised, not a cheat server.
Q04Why is my base gone from a build server?
The world probably reset. Many build servers start a new map every few hours, which clears everything on it. Check the server's next wipe time in UK time and UTC before you start a long test build.
More about these servers
The table sorts busiest first by default. Sorting by next wipe tells you which worlds reset soonest, which matters most if you are building something you want to test tonight. Where a server publishes no wipe schedule, the cell stays blank; we do not estimate.
Live numbers change through the day, so a count you see now is a snapshot, not an average. If you are choosing between two servers, check back after five minutes and compare again. Related lists: creative servers, servers just wiped and the full wipe schedule tracker.
